A static site with no accounts and no forms, one visitor-counting script and no advertising. Here is every third party your browser actually contacts, and when.
What we collect
Nothing you type, because there is nothing to type: no account, no newsletter, no comment box. The only way to reach us is email, and an email you send is kept only as long as it takes to answer it.
We run no advertising scripts and sell no data to anyone. Fonts are served from this site, not from a font network.
Analytics
Every page loads Google Analytics 4 under the measurement ID G-JZMJP0G7VG. It tells us how many people read a page, which page they came from and roughly which country they are in. It is the only script on this site that sets a cookie of its own — the “_ga” pair, which lets it tell a returning reader from a new one. We do not use it to build advertising audiences.
To opt out, use Google’s own browser add-on, your browser’s “do not track” or tracker blocking, or private browsing; nothing on this site depends on the script running.
The booking calendar
Pages for a tour and pages for a theme embed GetYourGuide’s own availability calendar, and it loads with the page. That means your browser contacts getyourguide.com as soon as you open such a page, and that request carries your IP address and whatever cookies that domain has set, exactly as visiting their site directly would.
What the calendar does with it is governed by GetYourGuide’s privacy policy, not by this one. Nothing you do inside the calendar is visible to us.
Photographs
Tour photographs are served from GetYourGuide’s image CDN, so loading any page with pictures makes a request to them. That is how the pictures arrive; we pass them nothing else.
Maps
Every map on this site is a button, not a map. Until you press “Show the map”, nothing is requested from OpenStreetMap. Press it and your browser asks openstreetmap.org for tiles, which carries your IP address to them, as any page load would.
The coordinates and the links to Google, Apple and OpenStreetMap under each map are plain links: they do nothing until you click them.
Booking links
Every booking button carries an affiliate tag that tells the partner the visit came from this site, and a short code saying which block on the page you clicked. It identifies the page, not you. What happens after you arrive on their site is governed by their privacy policy.
Changes
If this site ever adds an advertising script, a second analytics tool or anything else that sets a cookie, this page changes first and says what changed.
